Pickup window07:30–08:30We’ll meet at your hotel reception or villa between 07:30 - 08:30, depending on your location. Our driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned minivan. From there we head to the pier in the north of Koh Samui where the Angthong Marine Park tour starts
We arrive at the pier where you can enjoy a light breakfast snack and coffee, tea or water.
We board the speedboat with a maximum of 35 persons and set course west for our Angthong Marine Park tour. The boat has a large sunshade so you can enjoy the views from the shadow. It’s also possible to sit up front in the sun if you wish. The trip to Angthong Marine Park takes around 1 hour.
We arrive at Koh Wao for a snorkeling experience (mask & snorkel included). Enjoy the colourful fish on the reef. Don’t feel like snorkeling? Head over to the beach, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
After a short hike on Koh Wao, we arrive at the Emerald Lake (Thalay Nai). This saltwater lake is one of the highlights of the tour as it is bright green and surrounded by limestone cliffs. If you don’t want to hike up, you can also stay on the beach to enjoy snorkeling or go kayaking in the mangroves around the island (included in the price).
We board the speedboat for a very short ride to Koh Wua Ta Lap (also called Sleeping Cow Island). Here you can hike up to the viewpoint, from where you will have an amazing view over the 42 islands. Be sure to bring a camera as the views are stunning! Next, we’ll head down to the beach for a delicious Thai-style buffet lunch. After lunch you can keep enjoying the islands by snorkeling, swimming, kayaking or just chilling down on the beach.
At 15:00, it’s time to leave this beautiful place. Our speedboat takes us back to Koh Samui in about an hour. Enjoy the views, the blue waters. If you’re really lucky you might spot one of the whales or dolphins that inhabit these waters!

We arrive back at the pier in the north of Koh Samui. Our air-conditioned minivans are awaiting you for the return transfer to your hotel or villa. The Angthong Marine Park tour ends here. You should be back home no later than 17:00.

Pickup is early. The van has other hotels to collect before yours, so expect roughly eight hours door to door. There's a briefing at the pier, then the run out. After that it's the lagoon viewpoint, the Wua Talap climb, swimming, a kayak session and a buffet lunch somewhere in the middle. Your guide walks you through the snorkel and kayak gear, which helps if you've never used either. Stop order shifts with the wind and with whatever the park says that morning. A crew that reshuffles the route is reading the sea properly, not short-changing you.
FAQs
For lunch during the Angthong Marine Park tour you can expect a delicious Thai-style buffet. You’ll have several (halal) choices like a curry, Pad Thai, stir fried, chicken & eggs and a dessert. The food is halal. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
The breakfast isn’t too extensive, it’s smart to have a decent breakfast at your hotel or villa prior to the pickup. On the pier you’ll find coffee, tea and water and a small selection of snacks to get your day started.
The best time to visit Angthong Marine Park is just after the rainy season between February and March. The temperatures are pleasant: blue skies and calm waters (apart from a rare weather disruption). The months of April and May are sunny and hot, while the summer is a bit cooler. Our Angthong Marine Park tour is not possible during most of the rainy season, between 1 November and 15 December as the park is closed during that time.
The viewpoint of Angthong Marine Park can be reached after a quite intensive climb up. The road up can be challenging to small children and elderly persons. Please make sure to wear sensible footwear and hold on the available tight ropes at all times. The climb up takes about 15 minutes and is totally worth it: the views from the top are stunning!
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.
To keep the ride safe, this tour is not suitable for back problems, heart conditions or pregnant women. If that could apply to anyone in your group, contact us before booking and we will help you find a better fit.

Nice trip. Angthong is a beautiful national park. The emerald lake was the clear highlight - really special. The viewpoint hike was challenging but our guide Nui was patient and helped the group. The halal food was decent. I found the tour slightly rushed at some points but overall a good experience.

A wonderful day at Angthong Marine Park. The park is beautiful and peaceful. The food was halal and very good. Our guide was friendly and patient with our group which included some older family members. The boat ride was comfortable. The viewpoint was challenging but stunning.

Good day trip, would recommend but with a couple of caveats. The park is beautiful - the emerald lake and viewpoint are both fantastic. But the snorkeling was honestly a bit disappointing, the coral was quite damaged in places. The lunch was very basic. Guide was fine, kept things moving. Still worth doing.

Nice trip overall but felt a bit rushed at certain points. The emerald lake was beautiful and worth the hike. The viewpoint was stunning. But we had very limited time on the beach after lunch which was a shame. Guide was friendly. The food was just ok - more variety would be nice.

Vraiment magnifique. Angthong is one of those places that looks like it should be in a movie. The limestone cliffs, the green lake, the monkeys... it's quite surreal. The hike to the viewpoint is an effort but completely worth it. Our guide was patient and friendly. Food was good.
