Every boat on this site sails to Ang Thong. That is where the similarity stops. One races over on a speedboat and squeezes in five stops. Another is a sailing yacht that takes its time and dodges the crowds. The gap between the cheapest big boat and a private charter is enormous.

What you get on almost any full-day tour
Book any boat on this page and the basics look much the same:
- A van picks you up at your Koh Samui hotel, assuming you are inside the covered zones
- The crossing out to Mu Ko Ang Thong itself
- Lunch, drinking water, and the safety kit you are required to wear
- Time ashore at the Emerald Lagoon and Koh Wua Talap, weather and park permitting
- Accident cover, on the operator's terms
Now the two that trip people up. Kayaking is not always in the price. Neither is the park fee. Between them they can rearrange which tour is genuinely cheapest, so read the comparison table and then the booking page before you pay for anything.
What the day actually looks like
Most full-day trips begin with a hotel pickup somewhere between 07:00 and 08:30, because the van collects a string of hotels before pier check-in, and once the boat leaves the crossing takes anywhere from about forty minutes on a fast hull to a couple of hours on a big slow one. The first activity is usually kayaking or the Emerald Lagoon. Lunch happens on board or on a beach, the afternoon adds a viewpoint or a swim, and the boat lands back on Koh Samui late in the afternoon with hotel drop-offs after that. Treat the whole thing as a twelve-hour day door to door, even though the park itself fills only part of it.
The printed route is the calm-day plan. Captains reorder or swap stops when wind, swell or park instructions require it, and a guide who adapts the day is reading the water, not cutting corners.
Common questions
Koh Samui, essentially all of them. A van collects you at your hotel and the boat leaves from a pier on the island, and your exact time and pier land in the confirmation. If you are sleeping on Koh Phangan or Koh Tao, read that island’s departure guide before you book. It is not as simple as turning up.
Choose a tour, set the date, say how many of you there are, pay online. It goes through the same booking system our own travel team works in, so you end up with the operator, the date and the inclusions written down rather than promised at a desk.
Loads of families do this. Minimum ages are set per boat, though, and rough water can change what the crew will allow on the day. Read the child policy on the tour you like. If comfort beats speed for your family, take the bigger boat.
