Description
Nathon Pier, west coast, early. The boat is 23 metres, with deck space, shade and bean bags, and breakfast gets served once you're moving. Ninety minutes to two hours across, depending entirely on what the sea has decided to do that morning.

Pickup window07:00–08:00We’ll meet at your hotel reception or villa between 07:00 - 08:00, depending on your location on Koh Samui. Our driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned minivan. We drive to Nathon pier on the west side of Koh Samui.
We arrive at the boat where you can enjoy a light breakfast (croissants & fruits) and coffee, tea or water. At 8:00 we leave for Angthong Marine Park.
At 10:00 we should arrive at Angthong Marine Park. We have our first kayaking session around the island of Koh Tai Plao. This is also an excellent swimming and snorkeling spot for those who prefer that. Or do both!
We sail to Koh Mae Ko and enjoy a Thai style lunch buffet onboard. We serve a number of typical Thai dishes with vegetarian and halal options available.
We'll visit the viewpoint at the top of Koh Mae Ko and take in the spectacular sights at the Emerald Lake. Bring a camera to capture the great views here!
When we’re finished, we take the boat to Koh Wua Ta Lap where we should arrive at around 13:30.
Upon arrival at Koh Wua Ta Lap, choose 1 activity to do here! You can go kayaking, climb up to the panoramic viewpoint on the island, go trekking to visit Bua Bok Cave, or just choose to relax and swim on the beach.
At 15:00, it's time to say goodbye to the beautiful Angthong Marine Park. It takes about 1.5 hours to sail back to the pier in the west of Koh Samui.

Nine to ten hours, and the most active day we sell, though you set the pace yourself. Air-conditioned van to Nathon Pier, breakfast on the crossing, then the first guided paddle at Koh Tai Plao. Lunch on board, the Emerald Lagoon stairway at Koh Mae Ko, then a choice at Koh Wua Talap: more kayaking, the viewpoint climb, Bua Bok Cave, or the beach. Back at the pier around 17:00. Beginners are completely normal on this trip and the guide stays with the group throughout.

For lunch we serve a delicious Thai-style buffet on board. You’ll have several (halal or vegetarian) choices like curries, noodles and rice dishes. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know!
It’s a light breakfast with croissants and juices, coffee and tea. If you plan to go kayaking the whole day it’s good to have a filling breakfast at your hotel prior to pick up.
It really depends on the weather conditions, but generally the seas are very calm between February - August. This is also the hottest period. If you enjoy cooler temperatures, it’s best to make a booking for the kayaking tour between January and February. During rainy season (October - January) the seas get choppy and visibility will be less underwater.
The main purpose of this tour is to go kayaking around Angthong Marine Park. For families or groups of people with mixed interests besides kayaking there are also options to go swimming, snorkeling or trekking around the islands. That way everyone can decide on their own activity. It’s also possible to book a big boat tour with optional kayaking or speedboat tour with optional kayaking, but those trips will be less active than this one.
Yes, young children between 1-5 years old can join this tour for no charge. However, we have a strict rule – no kayaking for children ages 3 years and under! Children between the ages of 6-11 years old will be charged the children's ticket price for this tour.
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.
To keep the ride safe, this tour is not suitable for back problems, heart conditions or pregnant women. If that could apply to anyone in your group, contact us before booking and we will help you find a better fit.

This was the longest single tour I've ever done on holiday at 10 hours and I was worried about it being too much. But the way the day is structured means you're never doing the same thing for too long. Kayaking in the morning, lake hike after lunch, then your choice at the last island. The guide kept the energy up the whole time and the Thai buffet on the boat was genuinely delicious. Tired and happy on the boat home is exactly the right feeling.

The kayaking at Koh Tai Plao was the highlight for me - paddling through a low tunnel and emerging into this completely calm lagoon surrounded by tall limestone walls was one of those moments you can't really describe properly. The guide showed us where to go and stayed with us the whole time which made the whole thing feel safe and unhurried.

This is not a lazy beach day - you'll come back tired and happy. The kayaking in the morning takes a good amount of energy, the Emerald Lake hike gets the heart going, and if you do the viewpoint at Koh Wua Ta Lap you'll feel it in your legs the next day. But every bit of effort is rewarded with something beautiful.

I almost booked the standard Angthong boat tour and switched to this one at the last minute and I'm so glad I did. The difference between watching the park from a boat and being inside it at water level in a kayak is enormous. We went through two rock tunnels at Koh Tai Plao and came out into a lagoon that was completely surrounded by cliff on all sides with no other boats in sight. The Emerald Lake was stunning and the viewpoint hike at the end of the day was the perfect physical finale. One of the best tour days I've ever had anywhere.
