Back on the boat you will be served a delicious Thai-style lunch. There will be 3 main dishes, seasonal salads, fresh fruit and beverages. If you require vegetarian food, please let us know in advance. During lunch we’re slowly heading to Koh Mae Koh.
We arrive at Koh Mae Koh. Our guides will inform you about the island, where you can visit the famous Emerald Lake, a hidden green salt water lake. If you included kayaking in your booking, this is where we board the kayaks with our guides for a trip around the island. For those who don’t want to go kayaking there is enough time to explore the island or go sunbathing and snorkeling.

About nine hours, and very little of it rushed. A minivan collects you, the boat leaves from a Koh Samui pier, breakfast happens on the way out. You'll get the lagoon, the viewpoint, the cave and swimming time, with lunch on board between stops. The boat is big and so is the group, so there's a queue at the busier landings. What you don't get is anyone hurrying you back aboard. If you want the kayak session, add it when you book, not at the pier.

The best time to visit Angthong Marine Park is after the rainy season in March, April and May when the waters are usually calm. There are sunshades on the deck. The park is closed in rainy season between 1 November to 15 December.
The viewpoint can be accessed by a series of stairs and can be tough for small children, older persons and people with disabilities. Please make sure to wear sensible footwear if you want to make the climb up. If you’re in reasonable condition, it shouldn’t be too hard to get to the top.
Our big boat doesn’t run between 1 November to 15 December as the park is closed and the waters usually too rough. The tour will run if it’s rainy but and safe to go. If the waves are too high to make the trip, we will offer you a different date or a refund.
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Not a good experience. The boat was overcrowded and old. The guide seemed overwhelmed and at times we genuinely didn't know where we were supposed to be or what we should be doing. The snorkeling was poor. We had maybe 20 minutes at the emerald lake which was far too short. The viewpoint queue was long and chaotic. Kayaking was the one bright spot. I'd really encourage people to pay a bit more for the speedboat version or the VIP tour. This one felt cheap in a bad way.

Good day out. Budget option but delivers on what matters - getting you to a beautiful national park comfortably. The boat is old but stable. Kayaking was the highlight. Emerald lake was impressive. Viewpoint was worth the climb. Food on board was fine. Guide was helpful and relaxed.

We've done the speedboat version of this trip before and wanted to try the big boat. It's a different experience - slower, more relaxed, more social. The park is just as beautiful. The kayaking around Koh Mae Ko was a highlight. Lunch on board was good. Guide Pom was great with the kids.
